| Abstract: | Most microbes in the ocean are still resistant to our collective cultivation efforts. Environmental microbial genomics provides science with the means for accessing and assessing the genomes, diversity, evolution and population dynamics of uncultured microorganisms--the ocean's hidden majority. |
