| Abstract: | Abstract The protective capacity of antibodies to the enterobacterial common antigen (ECA) was tested in experimental mouse salmonellosis after intraperitoneal challenge by moderately virulent smooth Salmonella typhimurium . No evidence could be found for a role of anti-ECA in protection or opsonization in assays in which homologous anti- Salmonella antiserum was strongly positive. |
