Abstract: | The antitumor antibiotic echinomycin (EM) was used in combination with ethidium bromide (EB) to induce high resolution mid-prophase chromosomes from amethopterin synchronized blood lymphocytes. With this combination of drugs, trypsin G-banded chromosomes showed over 1200 bands per haploid set in cells having a mid-prophase length of decondensation. |
