| Abstract: | The paper describes a new species of genus Lycastris from Hainan Province,China:Lycastris flaviscutatis,sp.nov.The types are deposited in Bio-resources Key Laboratory of Shaanxi Province,Shaanxi University of Technology.Lycastris flaviscutatis,sp.nov.(Figs.1～3)Male unknown.Body length:15 mm (including frontal prominence).The new species is related to Lycastris cornuta Enderlein,1910,but can be distinguished from the latter by transparently yellow scutellum and yellow long hairs on black portion of hind femur anterodorsally.Holotype:♀,Jianfengling (altitude:812 m,18o44'31.2"N,108o51'27.1"E),Ledong County,Hainan Province,China,16-Ⅺ-2006,collected by HUO Ke-ke.Paratypes:2 ♀♀,ditto. |
