Abstract:Diceratias trilobus Balushkin and Fedorov, 1986, was described from a single female specimen, 122 mm standard length, collected from off the east of Honshu, Japan, in 1975. Since that time the holotype has remained the only known representative of the species. Recently, however, a number of additional specimens have become available. This new material is described below and compared with the holotype.
