| Abstract: | The contribution of the egg weight and the population size structure to the body mass have been studied in two strains of Brachionus plicatilis of different size. A mathematical model was developed in order to obtain a reliable estimate of the dry mass from two single easily determined parameters; the egg/female ratio and the mean lorica length. |
