| Abstract: | Soluble oligosaccharide carbohydrates from the partial enzymatic hydrolysis of pulp were degraded to monosaccharides by enzymatic hydrolysis using a complete mixture of cellulolytic and hemicellulolytic enzymes and subsequently analysed by HPLC. With this method it was possible to obtain a quantitative estimate of both the 5- and 6-carbon sugars comprising the soluble oligosaccharides. |
