Culture in vitro des ovaires de Tenebrio molitor. Hormone juvénile,vitellogenèse,et survie des jeunes ovocytes

In vitro culture of the ovaries of adult Tenebrio molitor is possible on a medium deprived of chick embryo extract. Ovarian and muscular tissue extracts ensure the young oöcytes survival by trophic action. Vitellogenic proteins present in the culture medium enter the oöcytes without the intervention of the corpora allata hormone. Juvenile hormone does not exert a gonadotrophic function in T. molitor.
