Abstract: | Subjecting larvae of Hypocrita jacobaeae to temperatures of 21 and 28°C and photoperiods of , , , and does not interfere with the phenomenon of diapause. The last larval instar is particularly affected by the higher temperature. Effects include numerous deaths, a high proportion of ill-formed pupae, and failure of adults to emerge properly from the pupal case. The significance of these findings is discussed. |
