Modeling of Cell Signal Transduction Network

Cell signaling networks are very complicated in terms of organization and regulation. Researchers generally combine experimental results and fitting data aided by mathematical methods to develop signal networks models, which insight into the comprehensive mechanisms involved in the signal transductions. This review described the mathematical approaches related modeling signal networks according to the different models, respectively. The hierarchy of modeling based on the pathway induced by heterotrimeric G protein was also elucidated, and the prospects and challenges of the cell signaling modeling were discussed.
