| Abstract: | A new chromene, cumanensic acid (1), together with eight known compounds have been isolated from the aerial part of Piper cf. cumanense Kunth (Piperaceae). Chromene structure was identified on the basis of spectroscopic analysis and comparison with literature data. The compound showed antifungal activity against Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. dianthi and Botrytis cinerea. |
