| Abstract: | A new photoaffinity probe, 5-(1-hydroxy-4-azidophenylazo)-1,2,3-benzenetricarboxylic acid, was synthesized and characterized. This reagent can be potentially used in photoaffinity labeling of the mitochondrial tricarboxylate carrier, as well as of enzymes interacting with tricarboxylic acids. Inhibition and labeling of the mitochondrial tricarboxylate carrier is presented. |
