Abstract: | Summary An alkalophilicBacillus sp. NG-27, which produced a thermostable xylanase was isolated from soil. The xylanase was active in the temperature range of 40–90°C with a temperature optimum at 70°C. It had a half life of 75 min at 70°C. |
