| Abstract: | The abundance or deficiency of thyroid hormones in rat organism influence the unsaturation and desaturation indices of total lipid fatty acids and phospholipids in liver mitochondria. The most conspicuous changes were observed in the fatty acid composition of the phospholipid fraction. The changes in the structure and function of rat liver mitochondria are considered to be due to alterations in the fatty acid composition of mitochondrial phospholipids. |
