Abstract: | Pseudomonas mendocina isolated from soil degraded an insecticide, Monocrotophos (MCP), by 67% and harbored a 7.4 kb plasmid, designated as pMCP424. On the basis of curing and transformation experiments, MCP degradation by Pseudomonas mendocinawas plasmid-borne and transferable to other bacteria. |
