| Abstract: | To improve the knowledge on Pneumocystis carinii growth, a homologous P. carinii transformation system would provide a tool to promote replication of this fungus. Antisense oligonucleotides have been successfully introduced by electroporation or direct uptake in order to downregulate the prohibitin negative function on cell cycle. |
