| Abstract: | A non-negligible percentage of the morbidity and mortality in older persons is due to liver disease. A discussion of the clinical presentation and proposed treatment of selected liver diseases in the elderly is therefore appropriate. Based on literature we will discuss the clinical course and treatment modalities of viral and autoimmune hepatitis, hepatocellular carcinoma and drug induced liver injury in the elderly. |
