Variation in monoterpene composition of the shoot cortical oleoresin within and between trees of Pinus contorta |

| Abstract: | Ten young Lodgepole pine trees were studied for variation in monoterpene composition of the shoot cortical oleoresin due to position within the crown. There was no significant difference between whorls, but small differences occurred between the lateral and terminal shoots of branches. The nature of the differences varied between trees; 3-carene showed the most consistent positional difference. |
