| Abstract: | The interaction between calmodulin and the pure, solubilized Ca2+ ATPase from human erythrocyte membranes was examined by kinetic titration. The data indicated that the two proteins interacted in a molar ratio of 1:1 with a Kd of 4.2 nm. The dependence of enzyme activity on calmodulin concentration agreed quantitatively with that predicted by kinetic theory. |
