Abstract: | Recent advantages in transgenic fish research are reviewed, with special reference to the methods for gene transfer. These
include microinjection, electroporation, particle bombardment, and lipofection. The success and problems associated with each
of these methods, and the possible applications of transgenic fish research to aquaculture are discussed.
