| Abstract: | Histochemical studies of shoot-tips have been carried out withZea mays L. plants grown under the influence of sodium chloridesalinity. Qualitative studies of the shoot-tips alter NaCl treatmentshowed a low concentration of starch grains in the cells. Changesin nucleolar and cytoplasmic RNA were assessed and are discussed.
