The statospore of Mallomonas pseudocoronata (Mallomonadaceae, Chrysophyceae) |

| Abstract: | A mass encystment of Mallomonas pseudocoronata cells was observed in a polymictic lake from Southern Ontario, Canada. Scanning electron microscopy was used to describe its statospore, which is oval in shape, covered by short spines, and has a short cylindrical collar. |
