Réflexions sur le benthos Dévonien du Massif armoricain replacé dans le cadre de l'Europe occidentale

The importance given by various authors to the different environmental factors in their marine paleoecological analyses is briefly discussed. Applied as they are to the Lower Devonian of the Armorican Massif, these considerations allow to propose some reconstruction attempts and comment upon them. Set in the context of the paleogeographical evolution of Western Europe. the changes of these benthic associations point out that the single arrangement of the magnafacies is not sufficient to understand them.
