| Abstract: | Bower-building is peculiar to polygynous species in the family Ptilonorhynchidae (Bowerbirds). Here we summarize past and current theories regarding the evolution of bower-building, evaluate the evidence that can be used to differentiate between them and suggest future areas for research. |
