| Abstract: | A reverse indirect hemagglutination ( RIHA ) test was used for detecting rotavirus antigen directly from 105 fecal samples of diarrheal calves. Of these 39 ( 37.1% ) were positive. The correspondent rate of RIHA with EM, PAGE of genome RNA and ELISA was 83.3%, 91.7% and 98.1% respectively. Reverse indirect hemagglutination inhibition ( RIHI ) test was used in the detection of rotavirus serum antibody in cattle. These tests are rapid, simple, sensitive, and specific. It is more convenient for use in the clinics and for epidemiological survey. |
