Abstract:
Two new species of Macrophya Dahlbom are described from the south parts of Shaanxi and Gansu, China. Macrophya yangi Wei et Zhu, sp. nov. and Macrophya infuscipennis Wei et Li, sp. nov. The type specimens of two new species are deposited in the Insect Collection of Central South University of Forestry and Technology, Changsha, Hunan, China. Macrophya yangi Wei et Zhu, sp. nov. (Figs 1-10) Body length 9.5 mm in female and 8 mm in male. The new species is a member of M. erythrocnema group and is similar to M. pentanalia Wei et Chen, 2002. M. yangi differs from M. pentanalia in mesoscutellum black entirely; lateral side of abdominal tergites 2-3 each with a small white macula; hind trochanter white entirely; hind tibia black, with a small white stripe near apex; dorsal side of head densely and roughly punctured, interspaces indistinct; fronts not depressed, about as high as top of eyes; clypeus, labrum, all trochanters yellow white in male; ovipositor sheath shorter than metabasitarsus, apical sheath shorter than basal sheath; serrulae obliquely and weakly protruding (in M. pentanalia, mesoscutellum largely white; lateral side of abdominal tergite 2 with a very large white macula and lateral side of abdominal tergite 3 with a very small white macula; hind trochanter with a large black macula ventrally; hind tibia largely reddish brown without white stripe; dorsal side of head shiny, very sparsely punctured; frons depressed and below top of eyes; clypeus, labrum and trochanters largely black in male; ovipositor sheath about as long as metabasitarsus, apical sheath much longer than basal sheath; serrulae strongly protruding). Holotype ♀, Maijishan (34°23′N, 105°59′E; alt. 1 347 m), Gansu Province, China, 22 May 2005, YANG Qing leg. Paratypes: 1♀, Liuba, alt. 1 390 m, Shaanxi Province, China, 19 May 2007, ZHU Xun leg.; 2♀♀, Xiaolongshan, alt. 1 409 m, Gansu Province, China, 7 July 2007, WEI Mei-Cai and ZHONG Yi-Hai leg.; 2♂♂, Maijishan, alt. 1 347 m, Gansu Province, China, 22 May 2005, YANG Qing and ZHU Xun leg.; 2♂♂, Maijishan, alt. 1 347 m, Gansu Province, China, 22 May 2006, YANG Qing and ZHU Xun leg.; 1♀, Zhongnanshan, alt. 1 555 m, Shaanxi Province, China, 27 May 2006, YANG Qing leg.; 3♀♀, 2♂♂, Zhouzhi, alt. 899 m, Shaanxi Province, China, 25 May 2006, YANG Qing and ZHU Xun leg. ; 1♂, Tongguan, alt. 1 052 m, Shaanxi Province, China, 30 May 2006, ZHU Xun leg.; 1♀, Taiyangshan, Gansu Province, China, 29 June 2006, YANG Ya-Li leg. Macrophya infuscipennis Wei et Li, sp. nov. (Figs 11-17) Body length 14 mm in female. The new species is a member of M. apicalis group and is similar to M. farannulata Wei, 1998. M. infuscipennis differs from M. farannulata in the fore tibia and tarsus pale brown entirely, the apex of hind femur, the middle and hind tibiae and tarsi entirely reddish brown; wings distinctly infuscate (in M. farannulata, the fore and middle tibiae and tarsi pale brown anteriorly and black posteriorly, the hind femur, the hind tibia and tarsus entirely black; and wings hyaline, not infuscate). This new species differs from all other species of M. apicalis group in the hind tibia and tarsus reddish brown. Holotype ♀, Xiaolongshan (34°16′N, 106°08′E; alt. 1 409 m), Gansu Province, China, 7 July 2007, WEI Mei-Cai leg. Paratypes 4♀♀, Zhongnanshan, alt. 1 555 m, Shaanxi Province, China, 27 May 2006, ZHU Xun and YANG Qing leg.
