| Abstract: | An in vitro culture system in which Moloney murine leukemia virus induces immortalization of mature B lymphocytes has been developed. The cell lines derived in this way are nontumorigenic, and virus production is not required to sustain them. This system provides a new in vitro model with which to study the stepwise process of transformation by retroviruses lacking oncogenes. |
