| Abstract: | Summary The inhibition effect of orthophosphate on the rate of pyrophosphate hydrolysis in soil was investigated. Orthophosphate had a competitive inhibition on pyrophosphate hydrolysis in soil. However K'm (apparent Michaelis constant) was greater than Km (Michaelis constant) and Vmax increased when orthophosphate was added. |
