| Abstract: | The arylsulphatase A from rabbit uterus has been purified with a rapid method using Fast Protein Liquid Chromatography (FPLC). The enzyme is an acid glycoprotein with an apparent molecular weight of 110,000. The enzymatic activity is competitively inhibited by various phosphoesters and various ions such as SO4(2-), PO4(3-) and P2O7(4-). |
