| Abstract: | In oat (Avena sativa L. cv. Suregrain) leaf segments, light-darkmodulation of nitrate reductase (NR) activity could be observedonly when segments were kept in NO3 conditions. We presenthere evidence that nitrate would regulate NR activity by modulatingthe phosphorylation status of the enzyme. (Received June 19, 1995; Accepted August 14, 1995) |
