Refuse Production in Leaf-cutting Ants (Hymenoptera: Formicidae) and its Relationship with Leaf Harvest |

| Abstract: | We examined the relationship between fungal refuse production and vegetation input in a laboratory colony of the leaf-cutting ant Acromyrmex coronatus . We found only a strong 6-day time-delay in the production of refuse with variation in substrate intake. |
