| Abstract: | A fossil human tooth was found in Guoshan cave in 1982. The site is about 15 km to the north of the city of Zhaotong in Yunnan ProvinceThe tooth is left lower second molar. According to its morphological features, it can be attributed to Homo sapiens. The associated mammal remains intelude Stegodon sp., Rhinoceros sp., Tapirus sp., Bovinae and Cervus sp. The fauna is considered to be of Date Pleistocene in age. |
