| Abstract: | Two hexasaccharides, beta-D-Xylp-(1-->2)-alpha-D-Manp-(1-->3)-[beta-D-Xylp-(1-->2)-]alpha-D-Manp-(1-->3)-[beta-D-GlcpA-(1-->2)-]alpha-D-Manp and beta-D-GlcpA-(1-->2)-alpha-D-Manp-(1-->3)-[beta-D-Xylp-(1-->2)-]alpha-D-Manp-(1-->3)-[beta-D-Xylp-(1-->2)-]alpha-D-Manp, the repeating unit of the exopolysaccharide from Cryptococcus neoformans serovar A, were synthesized as their methyl glycosides in a regio- and stereoselective manner. |
