Abstract:Didymella bryoniae is very common in cucumber crops grown in Danish glasshouses and is able to attack all aerial parts of the plant. In October 1984 an attack of D. bryoniae on cucumber roots was observed for the first time. Some of the roots were dark because of pseudothecia containing asci. This fact may have importance for the spread and survival of the disease and for its control.
