| Abstract: | In addition to the known p-coumaric acid, the furanofuran lignan (±)-syringaresinol and the digalloylglucose, nilocitin, were obtained from the whole plant of Ephedra alata. A new natural alkaloid, ephedralone, was also isolated. The structures were determined mostly by mass, 1H and 13CNMR spectroscopy. |
