Abstract: | Two species belonging to the hexapod crab genus Goniocypoda are described from the Upper Eocene Barton Beds exposed in the cliff sections of Christchurch Bay, Hampshire. One of these, G. quaylei sp. nov., is described for the first time; the second species, G. edwardsi H. Woodward, is redescribed in the light of information obtained from a re-examination of the holotype and from new material. The morphology and relationships of other members of the genus are discussed in detail. |
