Abstract:The disproportionation of ( 3CT)Ru(bipy) 32+ in homogeneous solutions has been investigated by laser flash photolysis where excitations were carried out with high intensities (250>Iab> 70 MW/cc) of monochromatic light (λ excit ∼440 nm). Such a disproportionation reaction competes, at a nearly diffusion-controlled rate, with the unimolecular (radiation and radiationless) relaxation.
