Abstract:

A circadian rhythm of activity is demonstrated in single neurons of Nephrops norvegicus (L.). Eyestalk extracts depress neural and locomotor activity. Entrainment of rhythmicity is achieved by the environmental light cycle, apparently acting through the eye.
