| Abstract: | GA3 increased the extension growth of Impatiens balsamina L.till 56 days under 8- and 24-h photoperiods. Cycloheximide whichdecreased height slightly under inductive conditions at a laterstage did not affect the GA3-promoted extension growth. BothGA3 and cycloheximide caused enhancement of the rate of differentiation,although this effect was temporary in the case of GA2. Cycloheximidedoes not affect photoperiodic induction, whereas it hastensand increases the magnitude of GA2-induced flowering. |
