Abstract:To obtain insights to the comprehensive molecular characteristics relating to the cold resistant mechanisms of tea plant,we performed a large-scale screening of cold-induced genes in tea plant by cDNA-AFLP.A cDNA fragment,TDF8 encoding a stress-induced H1-histone homolog was isolated and identified.The complete cDNA sequence was cloned by RACE(rapid amplification of cDNA ends),named Camellia sinensis cold-induced H1-histone(CSH1-Histone) gene.Its full cDNA sequence is 916 bp(GenBank accession number EU71631...
