Synchronization of Cell Division in Escherichia coli by Elevated Temperatures: a Reinterpretation |

| Abstract: | Synchronization of cell division resulting from exposure of Escherichia coli to elevated temperatures can be prevented by the presence of methionine. It is suggested that limitation of endogenous methionine at the elevated temperature might be the cause for the subsequent synchronization of cell division. |
