Abstract: | The purpose of this article is to examine preventive programs which may help to reduce the rising number of HIV infected individuals. Behavioral theories were taken into consideration from which stimulate behavioral changes. To measure the effectiveness of the behavioral theories, different evaluation methods were analysed. Following the recommendations made by Choi and Coates, new guidelines on which to base preventive AIDS compaigns in the future have been set out. |
