Abstract: | The inheritance of hypersensitive resistance to Leptosphaeria maculans in a cross between B. oleracea var. alboglabra and B. insularis was studied. Analyses of F1 and F2 progeny suggested that resistance is determined by two dominant, independently-segregating genes. F1 hybrids were semifertile but normal levels of fertility were restored in a proportion of the F2 progeny. |
