Abstract: | A rapid method for the assay of epoxide hydrase activity is described. 3-Methylcholanthrene-11,12-oxide is employed as substrate and high speed liquid chromatography is used to separate and quantitate trans-11,12-dihydro-11,12-dihydroxy-3-methylcholanthrene (product) formation. The determination of product at picomole levels can be obtained. |
