| Abstract: | A series of small plasmids has been derived from the octopine plasmid pTi-B6 by in vitro manipulation. The smallest plasmid that is able to replicate in Agrobacterium tumefaciens contains the ampicillin-resistance determinant from Tn1, coupled to a piece of DNA that is homologous to HpaI fragment number 11 of the octopine Ti plasmid pTi-Ach 5. The incompatibility functions are also specified by this region. |
