| Abstract: | Eight compounds (1-7b) were isolated from the aerial parts of S. halepense in present investigation and five of them (2, 5, 6, 7a, 7b) were firstly reported from this species. The two rare diastereomeric flavonolignans tricin-4'-O-(threo-β-guaiacylglyceryl) ether and tricin-4'-O-(erythro-β-guaiacylglyceryl) ether is from Sorghum genus for the first time. The chemotaxonomic significance of these compounds was summarized. |
