| Abstract: | Three pure lines of lettuce differing in their seed germinationbehaviour were crossed, and the germination of their F2 andF3 progeny was studied. The pattern of segregation of the progenywith respect to seed germination indicates that factors controllinggermination could be transmitted in a normal mendelian manner,and that the difference between these lines in their germinationbehaviour could not be caused by the seed and fruit coats. |
