Serum calcium and protein in haemoglobin-SS patients |

| Abstract: | Total serum calcium, total serum protein and albumin were estimated in haemoglobin-SS patients. The same estimations were carried out on a control group consisting of subjects from the same locality and similar age ranges. It was observed that the serum calcium level was significantly lower in haemoglobin-SS patients while total serum protein was significantly elevated in these same patients. |
