大熊猫(Ailuropoda melanoleuca)发情期叫声及其行为意义

大熊猫发情期是它叫声最频繁的时期。本文分析研究了大熊猫发情期的12种叫声和喘气声,按其物理特性和行为意义分析了它们的特点。按行为意义可将叫声归为三类。证明雌性大熊猫咩叫颇次高峰与发情高峰有直接关系。声音通讯对于大熊猫远距离传递信息,节省能量是有十分重要的意义。

ON THE VOCAL BEHAVIOR DURING THE ESTROUS PERIOD OF THE GIANT PANDA, AILUROPODA MELANOLEUCA

The vocal behavior of the giant panda are more frequently displayed, during the reproductive period than those in nonial times. Twelve single calls and puff are recorded and analysed according to the physical and behavioral contexs (Tab. 1; Fig. 1) On the basis of behavioral contexts these single calls may be classified into three categories. Some of these single calls vary their behavioral contexts by the variation in strenth, the number of single calls in sound group and in the unit time. The calls of giant panda have lower frequency and stronger intensity suitable for long distance communication in forest habitats. The vocal communication in the reproductive period of the giant panda normally living a solitary life plays an important role in the transmission of information for a long distance and is the economic way for saving energy. Inaddition, several single calls, especially the bleat, can be used as the indicator of the physiological condition for mating in the captive giant panda (Fig. 2).
