Abstract:The binding of high specific activity 3H-prostaglandin F2 alpha to membranes derived from human prostate tissue is described. Binding is specific for PGF2 alpha and is readily displaced by cold PGF2 alpha. The influence of testosterone and lactogen on the binding of the prostaglandin is investigated. Testosterone appears to enhance binding while the binding observed in the presence of lactogen is difficult to interpret.
